CRICKET – Bollywood star adds touch of spice
AS SHE moved elegantly across the field towards the hospitality marquees at McLean Park, Napier, yesterday during the one-day international cricket match, there was a murmur of excitment among the crowd.
Hot-blooded, camera-toting Indian males sprung from their Harris Stands seats like practice stumps recoiling on their springs after the dreaded death rattle.
The outnumbered females among the men didn’t seem to mind the off-the-pitch distraction, excitedly chatting among themselves in Hindustani and pointing to the raven-haired woman in denim jeans and scarlet top.
Seconds later, from behind wide-brimmed sunglasses, Preity Zinta, the woman India adores, openly flirted with the assortment of cameras hovering centimetres from her foundation-coated face.
